We take the time to understand the root of your problem in order to provide the best and most effective treatment. Through our years of experience, we’ve found that Assessment & Diagnosis is a crucial part of the recovery process.

I have a background in biological science, Spanish, program development, community mental health, rehabilitative massage therapy, and creating and executing adaptive curriculum. I thrive on redefining limitations as challenges and finding creative solutions.

Some interests I would love the opportunity to explore are:

  • Space medicine; specifically working with space exploration and fine motor skills

  • Burns unit

  • Telehealth

  • Working/volunteering internationally or in isolated parts of my own country

  • Aquatic therapy

  • CRPS

  • Multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary projects

I completed an Advanced Practice in Upper Extremity Rehabilitation this past year through Jefferson University and took on the responsibilities of being a clinical educator for a doctorate level occupational therapy student.

My most recent project was presenting a poster at the CA-HTA conference on therapist's preferences of mallet splints in 2019.

Last year I worked on a collaboration with a yoga instructor to design a class that was safe for persons with UE injuries. We presented a poster on this topic at the American Society of Hand Therapy Meeting.

My graduate program focused on interdisciplinary projects including creating a piece of assistive technology with industrial design students and redesigning a homeless center with architectural students. I was able to co-present the project with the industrial design students at the annual conference of the Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy Society. I was elected Student Delegate for the annual conference of the AOTA. Lastly, during my time as a student, I was a clinical educator for an OT assistant student at my job as program director for a mental health non-profit.

As well as more traditional education, I went to the Dominican Republic to take medical Spanish classes that included a week of working in Spanish with an occupational therapist in a large hospital. After my time there I went to Haiti to do home visits for persons with TB and who are HIV+. While there I used a modified OPHI that I had translated to Haitian Kreyol to try to determine where gaps in treatments and long-term planning may be, as well as clearly defining barriers in the environment. I hope to return to Haiti to continue with this project and would welcome advice or a partner.
